Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Preparation and installation of fire suppression hood systems

· Layout and threading of pipe

· Meet customers’ expectations while performing quality installations

· May be required to lift and/or carry equipment and tools weighing over 40 pounds

· Working environment may involve climbing ladders with equipment

· Capable of working in cramped workspaces such as crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.

· Must be able to obtain/maintain certifications from all suppression manufactures (i.e. Ansul, PyroChem, Amerex etc.)

· Perform routine inspections, testing and installation of fire extinguishers, emergency lights, kitchen hood suppression systems and Special Hazard systems (ie. FM200, Inergen, CO2 etc.)

· Must be willing/able to work alternate shifts, overtime and be on call to respond to emergency situations if req'd

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 3-5 years related work experience

· Mechanical and Electrical aptitude with good written and verbal communication skills

· Must be able to handle tools and/or equipment weighing over 40 lbs when necessary

· A basic understanding of Codes as they apply to Life Safety Systems.

· Valid driver’s license with good driving record

· Basic Computer knowledge (windows based operating system)
